Giselle turns 3!!

This past weekend, we celebrated our baby girl's third birthday with three days filled with fun activities. We started off the festivities on Friday, her actual birthday, with...what else?...chocolate!!

On Saturday, we drove up to Sonoma and had lunch with Grammie Phyllis. Then we all went to Train Town, an amusement park with train models, kiddie rollercoasters and other rides, and a petting zoo. The girls went on a train ride with their Dad, flew on a kids-only airplane ride, went for a spin on the ferris wheel with Dad and the "dragon" rollercoaster with Grammie, and then finished off the afternoon on the carousel. Toward the end of the day, Giselle asked if we could stay at Train Town forever because she was having so much fun. Such a sweet girl!!

Our final stop of the day was in Rohnert Park to see Grandpa Pat. The girls had a great time playing with Mattie the dog (not sure if I can say the same for Mattie) and a new magnetic building toy, and the birthday girl managed to soak herself in the backyard in Mattie's drinking bowl. In all, Giselle--and the rest of us--had a fabulous day! I don't have pictures but, on Sunday, I took all three kids to see Toy Story 3 while Keith had to stay home to do homework...he really missed out as it was a great movie!

Grandmas are here!

Ok, they were here two weeks ago. Gamma Joni and Grandma Linda came down from Oregon for a quick visit to meet their grandson, and of course they instantly fell in love with him! The kids and I are definitely looking forward to a longer visit with them, and a lot of other family members and friends, up in Oregon next month.

The mountain of presents from Gamma Joni for Jackson. The girls "helped" him open them.

Our little man is five weeks old. Already.

So far, as a mom of three kids under the age of five, I've noticed that time seems to go by faster and faster with each new addition to our family. I can't believe that our little babe is already past his 1-month mark. Jackson is so laid-back and seems to love to observe everything going on around him. The only times he gets truly upset are 1. diaper changes (furious screaming fits until all of his clothes have been put back on) and 2. after bath time (he looooves being in the bath but, again, has a fit afterward before he's fully dressed). Not a big fan of being naked, apparently. :) He is growing SO quickly; he's already out of his newborn clothes and is steadily moving into his 3-month-and-up sizes...so very different from his sisters, who were so tiny for so long (Mackenzie is still tiny at only 36lbs. and almost 5 years old). I haven't gotten many photos of our little guy in the past few weeks and need to do another "photo shoot," maybe this time with his big sisters included?! It seems most of my recent pics are of us sleeping. Hmmm....
